The hilarious hatters decsend

RADIOKOP – Grade 1 pupils of Charterhouse Preparatory School show their quirky side with their unique hats.

Charterhouse Preparatory School Grade 1s became fantastically hilarious on 22 January when they were asked to create a hat that best showed their wacky and wonderful personalities.

Personal assistant to the principal, Gillian Houston, said that Hilarious Hat Day was a memory-making moment at the school. As every new venture should be coupled with the correct measure of fun and wonderment, the pupils were happy to fit into their hilarious new roles for the day.

“Judging by the array of splendid, colourful and creative hats that greeted us on arrival at school, we could all concur that this sentiment was shared by moms, dads, grannies, grandpas and children,” said Houston.

Houston also added that children across the junior and senior phases took the time to acknowledge, engage and compliment the hilarious hats that the school’s newest additions displayed with pride. The Grade 1s were all smiles, feeling comfortable in their new big school space.
