JMPD facilitates fees payment

Pupils have fees paid for the whole year.

Three pupils from Hoërskool Die Adelaar received a donation of R28 050 from Sihlangene Security Company to pay their school fees for the year.

Nkosinathi Sweeters, Tshidiso and Gillian Musupa, who are in grade 8, were identified as beneficiaries of the donation.

Ouma Morudi from the Johannesburg Metro Police Department’s Community Outreach Unit chose the pupils after visiting various orphanages in Roodepoort.

“The interest of the department is to see all children create a better future for themselves through education. This assists the community to be free from criminal activities and as a result create a safer society. We appreciate the help Sihlangene Security Company has offered and their support for a safe and educated community,” said Morudi.

Morudi then worked together with Sihlangene’s General Manager Tebogo Phasha, and facilitated the payment for the pupils.

“We do a lot of work in the community as our work comes from the community itself. Therefore this is our way of giving back. We are passionate about education and we want to empower these young pupils for a lifetime,” said Phasa.
