Casper de Vries looking for his Halfrieda

Casper de Vries' dog went missing in Roodepoort on Sunday night.

Well-known comedian, actor and entertainer Casper de Vries has spent the last hours of the weekend looking for his German Shepherd, Halfrieda.

According to his tweets, the dog went missing at around 2.30pm on Sunday afternoon, 17 January.
“Roodepoort, Ruimsig, Muldersdrift please be on lookout for a German Shepherd walking on her own. Thats my dog. Long story. [sic],” he tweeted.

She is described as wearing a black leather collar and was apparently last seen on Jim Fouché Road close to the Checkers complex on 14th Avenue. A number is tattooed inside her one ear, he wrote on facebook later.
Various community members tweeted @casperrasper, getting involved in the search, but it appears to date nobody has been successful in tracking the dog. De Vries has not yet updated involved parties on twitter since around 7.45pm last night.

At the time he tweeted, “the only hope now is when vets and [the Roodepoort] SPCA open on weekdays.”

The Roodepoort SPCA got involved with the search last night.

The Record could not yet obtain comment from De Vries.
