CKPS pupils excel at Olympiads

CKPS crowned Olympiad champs.

Constantia Kloof Primary School were proud of their learners after they garnered excellent results in the recent Olympiad competitions.

In the grade six SS Olympiad, Farhan Kahn and Landen Viljoen participated in the SS Olympiad at District Level in August this year.

However Kahn was one of two pupils selected to represent the District at Provincial level.

He had the highest score and was placed first. He then went on to represent the District at Provincial level where he obtained a second place.

In the grade seven Technology Olympiad, Amy Pace, Bothlale Mofokeng, Katherine Grippa, Savannah Taylor and Paige Taylor represented their school well.

Competing against 28 schools, the pupils came in first place overall, securing a place in the Provincial round.

At the provincial round, the pupils competed against representatives from 15 districts representing 22 schools in the Province.

Here, the pupils were expected to do a content knowledge test and present their cellphone model.

They managed to scoop first position again and were awarded certificates.

Mwansa Ngandu was one of 3 pupils from the school selected for the first District round of the competition.

She eased her way into the final district round where 22 schools were represented.

Here she came in third, making her eligible for the Provincial round, held in Springs, where she narrowly missed first place in the elimination round.
