Two killed and ten injured in collision

Deadly collision in Dobsonville.

Two men were killed and ten others injured this weekend after a taxi and three light motor vehicles collided on Dobsonville Road in Dobsonville.

ER24 paramedics, along with other services, responded to the scene and they found the four wrecked vehicles in the middle of the road.

On assessment, paramedics found the body of a male in his 20s lying trapped inside the taxi. Unfortunately the man had already succumbed to his injuries and was later declared dead.

Three other critically injured patients were found lying around on the scene. One of the patient showed no signs of life.

Paramedics treated the three critically injured patients and provided them with advanced life support. Unfortunately, after 20 minutes of treatment, one of the critically injured males succumbed to his injuries.

Eight other patients were found on scene with injuries ranging from minor to moderate.

Paramedics treated the patients for their injuries and thereafter transported them to various hospitals in the area for further treatment.

The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
