A hijacker met his match yesterday when he was shot after hijacking a vehicle in Honeydew.
The Polo Vivo was hijacked in Honeydew in the afternoon and a tracking company gave chase. The chase ended up going through Discovery and the perpetrators abandoned the vehicle in Walker Street after which they fled in another Polo.
The two men were finally stopped in Roodepoort where one suspect was shot and the other taken to Roodepoort Police Station. It was found that the second Polo the suspects used was also a stolen vehicle.
The two men will appear in the Roodepoort Magistrates Court soon.
