First Christmas baby at Netcare Pinehaven Hospital

RUIMSIG – Baby Nandi makes history at Netcare Pinehaven Hospital.

Tebogo and Floyd Gcingca welcomed their baby girl at Netcare Pinehaven Hospital on Christmas day at 11:44am.

The couple from Ruimsig were so excited to have had their baby girl Nandi delivered at Pinehaven which was opened in August 2015 and baby Nandi made history by being the first baby born there on Christmas day.

This was Tebogo’s first baby and she described her pregnancy as a smooth one, “I was never sick, I did not have nausea, everything went according to plan.”

Baby Nandi was due on Christmas day and she did not disappoint. “I feel like the luckiest woman on earth,” said Tebogo.

Nandi weighed 2.725kgs at birth, 49cm tall and had a 35.3cm head circumference.
Sister Nintobeko Khanyile described Nandi’s dad Floyd as obsessed with his new bundle of joy.

The couple was very impressed with their doctor, Dr Machetela and spoke very highly of Sister Khanyile. “We received a lot of attention from the staff, the spotlight was on us,” Floyd.

Tebogo said that she has not seen her husband shed a tear in years and he did when their daughter was born.
