Horizon View raises R10 000 for charity

Charity begins at school

The grade 7 pupils of Horizon View Primary School were beaming with pride as they donated money to several charities of their choice. The money comes from the market day the school organised for the pupils to learn about business and how to be an entrepreneur.

Pupils had to set up stall in the school and sold hot dogs and muffins while other pupils set up beauty stalls and games stalls. At the end of the day, the pupils then had to donate a certain percentage of their profits to the school which amounted to R10 000.

Othandweni Childrens Home in Soweto, Run-Sharp, Masibambhisane, Family and marriage society South Africa (FamSA) and the school received a portion of the money.
