Silverstar Casino brings the beach to the West Rand

Come party at Silverstar Casino's beach festival.

Silverstar Casino is promising sand, sun and plenty of fun as the Silverstar Beach Festival kicks off from 11 to 20 December.

It’s not every day that Joburg residents can enjoy the carefree beach feeling filled with delicious seafood, cocktails and beach activities perfect for the holiday season.

Silverstar Square will be transformed into a tropical beach playground, with children’s activities by day and a beach paradise for adults by night.

Parents are urged to bring their children to the beach during the day to enjoy sand castle building, tug of war, hoola hoop and ice-cream eating competitions.

The fun continues with an inflatable waterslide, beach volleyball, and more.

The beach will be transformed at night, when you can enjoy scrumptious seafood specials, drinks and good company at lowly lit tables.

Entertainment will include limbo competitions, fire poi, and a Calypso band to complete the beach vibe.

Silverstar Casino’s Director of Operations and Complex General Manager Shane Collinson said he is excited about the beach festival.

“Coming from Durban, the beach is a big part of my life and I jumped at the idea of bringing the beach to the West Rand, for everyone to enjoy,” he said.

Children’s activities will run from 10am to 6pm daily and the adult set-up from 6pm to 10pm every evening.

Entry is free.
