LITTLE FALLS – Pupils sang touching hymns during the Trinityhouse Little Falls Christmas carol service.

Trinityhouse Litle Falls High School’s 2015 Christmas Carol service took place on 25 November.

It was attended by the school’s teachers, senior residents, parents and pupils.

Pupils sang hymns directed by their choir director Ashlea Martin while guests gathered in the school hall.

Martin said they wanted to have a traditional celebration for Christmas.

The school principal Lynne Davis wished everyone a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.

“We are hoping to see all the children back at school next year,” said Davis.

She said this was their second carol service.

Grade 8 pupil Avela Fongoqa spoke about the birth of Jesus, reading Luke 2 v 1-7.

Joseph went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David.

He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child.

While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.
