Three pedestrians injured but lucky

Cause of accident unknown.

Three women were knocked down by a vehicle at the corner of Long and Gordon roads in Newlands this morning.

ER24 paramedics arrived on scene and found the women lying on the pavement. The vehicle, which had also knocked another vehicle, was found a few metres away from the pedestrians against a traffic light pole.

Upon assessment by paramedics, it was found that the women sustained moderate injuries.

The women, aged between 20 and 40, were treated on scene and are being transported to hospital for further medical care.

The exact cause of the collision is unknown. Authorities were on scene.
