The popular Guinness World Record Day is celebrated among the most daring citizens across the world.

Most people aim to beat previous record holders and create new Guinness records. Some are either successful or unsuccessful.

Here are a few of the successful ones that might amaze you:

1. Claudio Paulo Pinto can pop his eyeballs 7 millimeters out of their sockets and an online article states he said ‘it doesn’t hurt a bit.’

2. Zdenek Zahradka from Czech Republic survived 10 days buried underground without food and water. He was only connected to the outside world by a ventilation pipe.

3. Elaine Davidson from Brazil, holds the record for the ‘world’s most pierced woman. She has over 1 900 piercings.

4. Harvey, a 3-year-old Bloodhound, holds the record for having the longest dog ears. Harvey’s ear span reaches 14 inches long.

5. Julia Gnuse is the most tattooed woman in the world and has 95% of her body decorated in ink. She started getting tattoos when she was 35 years old to cover up a genetic disorder.

6. An 11-year-old boy, Fin Keheler, allowed 43 snails to be put on his face for 10 seconds in a gross effort to surpass the Guinness World Record of 36 set in 2007.

7. Svetlana Pankratova has the world’s longest legs which is 132 centimetres.
