Three people were left with critical injuries after they were involved in a collision on the N1 between Beyers Naude Road and 14th Avenue.
The collision occurred around 5am this morning and involved only one vehicle. The vehicle allegedly lost control and collided with a tree on the side of the road.
When ER24 arrived on scene they found that the vehicle had three passengers and all three were entrapped in the wreckage. With the assistance of the fire department, paramedics extricated and treated the patients. ER24 treated and transported one patient to Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital. The other two patients were treated and transported by other medical services on scene.
The cause of the collision is still unknown, local authorities were on scene for further investigation.
