Discovery bids farewell to it’s leaders

Bidding farewell.

Discovery Primary Full Service School will be bidding farewell to their prefects as well as this year’s flag bearers.

The flag bearers are chosen from grade 6 pupils and the main requirements are to be responsible and respectful.

Omphemetse Motlhanke, Shahnawaaz Craayenstein, Calvin Daniels and Nonjabulo Simelane were this years proud flag bearers and will become next year’s prefects.

“We take the flag up and down from pole everyday. Some of the challenges we face include days when the wind picks up making it difficult and rainy days as we cannot let the flag get wet. During the year we have learnt more about the flag,” they said.

The principal added a few words of gratitude to the pupils.

“Thank you to the 2015 Prefects for their diligence, hard work and support in maintaining order within their peer group at school. A special thank you to our Head Prefects: Daniel Mbumba, Naeema Tennant, Shay Weimers and Lesedi Moshikare for their leadership this year. We wish all our Grade 7 learners every success in high school. We would also like to thank the flag bearers for their loyal service and dedication to this duty,” said principal Raymond Peters.
