This past weekend the Metro Police came to the rescue of one of their own brothers in uniform.
Whilst conducting an operation they received a call that an officer who resides in Roodepoort’s vehicle had been stolen. The tracker unit in the vehicle indicated that the vehicle was still in the Florida area. Two officers responded and after an hour and a half found the VW Polo parked inside a townhouse complex.
The vehicle was taken to Lenasia Police Pound for further investigation but no arrests had yet been made.
