Dealer caught with large amount of drugs

Arrested after tip-off by public.

A 33-year-old suspect was arrested for possession of what is believed to be hard drugs.

On Wednesday 4 November at about 11.00am while Florida Crime Prevention members were doing normal patrols along Hebbard Street, they received information from members of the public about the sale of drugs by two suspects that were driving in a white Ford Bantam bakkie.

They proceeded to the bakkie which was stationery and requested to conduct a search. The Police found 150 brown plastic wraps containing a white substance believed to be drugs in the driver’s possession.

The suspect was arrested and detained at Roodepoort Police Station for dealing in drugs. He will appear at Roodepoort Magistrate court soon.
