Clifton Mokgawa, a groundsman at Florida Park High School was found dead in a mortuary in Diepkloof.
The 50-year-old man has been missing for almost a month.
According to his son Tshepo, his body was found in Bramfischerville Phase 2 after he was attacked.
“We are not sure of how and why he was attacked but his body was moved to the mortuary. The family is taking it really hard but we will have to be strong and learn to accept our loss,” he said.
Mokgawa went missing when he was on his way to the shops and then visit his girlfriend but never arrived.
