More CCTV footage of drug deals in Van Wyk Street have surfaced.
Video: Are these Metro Police officers taking bribes from drug dealers?
In one clip, a white Nissan bakkie stops in the top left hand corner waits a few minutes for his drugs and then the dealer hands it to him after which he drives off. In another clip a car is waiting, and after a while the driver gets back into his vehicle before being handed his drugs. In the final clip, at a location across the street the man at the bottom left looks across the street and signals. Then you see his accomplice little further up cross the street and just out of shot in the top left hand side gets the drugs from underneath a shop door. (This has been confirmed by an eyewitness and his friend who is a police member and has removed drugs from this location before.). A black car then comes and stop and the driver’s drugs are handed to him through the window.
In the first two clips take note of all the activity by the men loitering at the corner. The Record is in the process of obtaining more footage of the illicit activities.
