Silverstar Casino electric as Bok fans unite

The Globe was packed as Springboks fans watched the rugby.

Silverstar Casino was coloured in a sea of green and gold this weekend as Springboks supporters filled up The Globe to watch South Africa vs Wales.

Before the match started, fans joined in for the singing of the National Anthem which shook the spirit.

During the match, chants of support to screams of frustration could be heard as the fans watched the intense match.

Although the Springboks eventually prevailed 23-19, many could not help but breathe a sigh of relief and will once more return to The Globe next weekend to watch the Bokke take on New Zealand in the semi-finals of the Rugby World Cup.

The All Blacks defeated France 62-13 and have solidified their tag of being favourites to win the tournament.

In the second semi-final of the tournament, Australia will take on Argentina.

The Wallabies beat Scotland 35-34 in a match that proved to be thrilling to the last second.

The Pumas were too strong for Ireland and came out 43-20 victors in the match.

All semi-final matches will be contested by teams from the Southern Hemisphere.
