The two drivers involved in last Thursday’s horror accident on Ontdekkers Road are still in hospital.
The accident took place when a taxi skipped a red traffic light and crashed into a bakkie from which its driver was flung.

Metro Police spokesperson Wayne Minnaar has confirmed that both drivers are still in critical condition. Minnaar said the taxi driver was still in Helen Joseph Hospital but did not know where the driver of the bakkie, who was initially also taken to this hospital, were. Unofficial sources claim the bakkie driver was taken to Flora Life Clinic but this could not be confirmed.
Neither of the two hospitals are allowed to speak to the press.
