One of them died in hospital while the fourth, Daniel is still in hospital with cerebral fluid.

Harvey and Gabriel were out for a brief moment this weekend at the Florida Lake where a race was held in aid of their medical bills.

The dragon boat race had different teams with the Roodepoort Athletics Club members making up the majority of participants to support the family.

There were various other activities taking place for children and food stalls were available.

Some who did not know a race was taking place at the lake wanted to participate to show their support for the family.

“It feels good and it is exciting to see the support for our family. Some people just arrived and want to be part of the days activities. The babies are doing well. Daniel who is currently in hospital weighs 2,8 kilograms while Harvey and Gabriel weigh 2,9 and 2,7 kilograms respectively,” said their mother Chantel.

Her husband Rob will be participating in the Momentum 947 Cycle Challenge with 22 other cyclists under the Warriors for Preemies banner.

They are hoping to raise funds to buy an automatic vehicle which seats more than seven people.
