KapFresh ready for summer splash
It’s been a successful year for West Rand hip hop artist KapFresh.
It started in December when he was awarded the Most Promising Act at the Streets Are Fed Up Awards.
He was featured on CrazE’s New Kids on the Block for artists to watch out for in 2015/2016 and his mixtape was named Most Anticipated from an unsigned artist.
He was also chosen as brand ambassador for clothing brand Blur Clothing South Africa.
Undoubtedly, his highlight for the year is his single “He eh” (Wont Stop) was featured as official theme song to an SABC programme.
Now he is getting ready to release a follow up song titled “Skangjella Mona”.
“Wont Stop was a song about moving forward and not giving up on your dreams and what you believe in. After the single was made a theme song, some people started being jealous and spreading negativity about me. So Skangjella Mona” is basically a message to those who are jealous,” said the musician.
The song is a sample taken from a house track and according to the artist, is a mixture of house, hip-hop and motswako.
“I feel like the song is a bridge between genres and nobody could have done it better. This is my best work yet and I am proud of the song,” he said.
KapFresh will shoot a music video for the song at the end of the month.
