Celebrate the beauty of poetry

You might be a poet and not know it.

Does hearing the sound of a romantic poem make your heart skip a beat?

If you can relate to this then you are either a lover of poetry or a poet yourself.

Today people all over the world celebrate National Poetry Day by releasing their poetry into streets and sharing their infamous poetic pieces with others.

Here is a piece of William Shakespeare’s romantic Sonnet 116:

Love’s not Time’s fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle’s compass come;
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom

Are you the next possible Shakespeare and have you written poetry you are proud of?

Submit all you short poetry pieces to us and celebrate Poetry Day.
