Fred Astaire supports Cansa

All money raised will go towards Cansa for further research on breast cancer.

Fred Astaire will dance with breast cancer survivors at their fundraiser on Thursday, 29 October at Oakfields Farm in Honeydew.

The event, Dancing with Survivors, will raise awareness that despite having cancer, they can still survive it and enjoy life.

“I have met breast cancer survivors and have seen how they feel like their womanhood was taken away. Therefore, I hope this event will show them they are beautiful and strong,” said Veronica Luksich, Area Developer for Fred Astaire South Africa.

Fred Astaire has selected six breast cancer survivors and will teach them how to dance. They will each have sponsored outfits as well as a specially designed dress.

The event starts at 6.30pm and tickets cost R750 which includes a three-course meal, prizes to be a won and performances from Jakkie Louw.
