Bogus City Power officials doing the rounds again

According to Roodepoort Police two men pretending to be City Power officials, or alternatively handy men, are doing the rounds attempting to access homes when the owners are at work.
They typically where blue overalls. They watch a house for a while and if they know there is a domestic worker they knock on the door. Then they introduce themselves as City Power officials saying they either have to check meters or wiring in the house. Alternatively they say they have to take measurements of the house for work commissioned or that they are there to repair something.
Residents should strictly advise domestic workers not to let these men in or unlock for them. They should also not try to phone the home owners in close range of the suspects because they have been known to grab the cell phone.
