Update: Missing man found, allegedly kidnapped

Severely sun burnt and hungry when he was found.

The 29-year-old man, Pieter Boshoff, who went missing last week has been found in Pietermaritzburg.

According to his brother, Martin, Boshoff made contact with their mother on Friday night. They were informed that he was in Pietermaritzburg and on Saturday they went and fetched him. Martin said his bother was sun burned and very hungry when they picked him up.

“It now seems our initial suspicions that he might hurt himself was wrong. The details are still sketchy but we believe he was kidnapped,” said Martin.

Boshoff was reunited with his wife on Sunday.
