Constantia Kloof Primary School hosted a blood drive in conjunction with South African National Blood Services and ATKSA, a tour operating company.
“New and regular donors were invited. We conduct blood drives as often as we can in malls, churches and community centres. It is always important to donate blood because cancer, surgery and elderly patients are dependant on it,” said Clinic supervisor Vuyisa Jobela.
The SANBS has a donor centre at Westgate Shopping Mall opposite Dischem in entrance six where donors are welcome.
SANBS has been targeting schools where they get the most donors and in the month of October, will visit schools such as West Ridge High School, Florida Park High School, Hoërskole Bastion and Die Adelaar.
13 October: Westridge High School
14 October: Hoërskool Bastion
16 October: Hoërskool Die Adelaar
24 and 25 October: Clearwater Mall
26 October: Florida Park High School
