Honeydew SAPS Cluster held its annual Heritage Day competition on 23 September at Little Falls Park.
In a jubilant mood, police officials from Randburg, Douglasdale, Diepsloot, Florida, Roodepoort and Honeydew police stations dressed in their best traditional attires.
Randburg SAPS triumphed, beating all the stations in the cluster, while Douglasdale took first position for the best prepared traditional meal.
Honeydew prevailed in the category of best participants and efforts.
Randburg SAPS spokesperson Constable Stanley Bopape said the competition is held annually and improves the working relationship between police stations in the cluster.
The event was part of SAPS’ contribution towards preserving the country’s heritage.
