Yesterday was an especially good day for Roodepoort police according to spokesperson Nonhlanhla Khumalo.
After receiving a call from the block watch regarding a house robbery in Ellen Street, Lindhaven, they rushed to the scene and arrested one suspect aged 27. His three accomplices got away. The man was found in possession of a plasma screen television.
The police also arrested a suspect in Roodepoort North for housebreaking, another suspect for housebreaking in Wilro Park, one for illegal possession of a firearm and three illegal guns as well as explosives were taken from the streets.
All the suspects were detained at Roodepoort Police Station.
