Here’s why you should let children cook

Sit back and be treated by your children.

Allow your children to take over in the kitchen today while you sit back, relax and perhaps read a book.

Although no promises can be made whether the outcome of the meals will meet your standards, take advantage of National Kids Take Over The Kitchen Day.

Here are reasons why you should take advantage:

1. Gives you time to relax. Knowing you do not need to cook for the day might enables you to read that book you’ve been wanting to read for a long time.

2. Allows your children to be creative. They might come up with an out of this world menu that includes cereal for lunch.

3. It will build their confidence. When you allow your children to use knives or the stove (under supervision) it shows your trust them.

4. They will have tendency to eat healthier food. If they cooked their own meals, they would be proud to eat it. Allow them to cook healthy foods and they will appreciate food more.

Are you ready to allow your children to cook in the kitchen yet or do they need some time?
