Look out for these suicidal signs

Here are signs to look out for if you are feeling suicidal.

According to an online article, a suicide occurs every 40 seconds and an attempt is made every three seconds.

This staggering information commonly occurs between among children between the ages of 10 and 14-years-old.

World Suicide Prevention Day commemorates all who have committed suicide, those who contemplated doing this and those who have lost a loved one to suicide.

Here are signs to look for if you are suicidal:

• A constant depressed mood

• Change in sleeping patterns

• Loss of interest in daily activities

• You struggle to concentrate or find that previously easy tasks are now difficult

• Feelings of worthlessness

• You consume more alcohol than normal or engage in other reckless behavior

• Thoughts of death or suicide
