The Roodepoort Police has been busy the past two weeks with more than a hundred arrests, three suspects shot dead and more wounded in different incidents.
Last week saw close to 50 arrests and during a stop and search operation earlier this week 52 more arrests were made. There were also the Clearwater shooting where two suspects were shot dead (six arrested), last week’s Cutten Street robbery where one suspect was wounded (three arrested) and this morning’s cigarette truck robbery where another suspect was shot dead but four suspects got away.
The 52 suspects were arrested for crimes including assault GBH, common assault, shoplifting, common robbery, theft of cell phones, house
breaking and theft, malicious damage to property and possession of stolen goods.
The suspects were detained at Roodepoort Police Station.
