According to a reliable police source the murder that took place in Vergelegen Street yesterday was not a hijacking.
A man was shot dead in a silver Audi which was parked in a driveway, but his female companion was unscathed. A used condom was found in the vehicle and only the man’s wedding ring was taken by the unknown assailant.
According to Roodepoort Police spokesperson Nonhlanhla Khumalo the woman was taken into custody for questioning.
It is suspected the two victims were lovers.
