Hip Hop Academy to host showcase

The Mario Gomes Hip Hop Dance Academy will be hosting a world championships showcase at the Roodepoort Theatre next month.

There will also be a South African 2015 team tracksuit issuing ceremony for the academy’s 70 dancers who qualified to participate in the IDO Hip Hop World Championships in Italy later this year.

The dancers come from areas such as Westonaria, Randfontein, Krugersdorp, Roodepoort and the North.

The showcase will feature the LXD, Kahos and Hush crews as well as the academy’s dancers.

“The sales of the tickets from the academy will assist our underprivileged dancers with travelling expenses. I will be taking three mega crews which consist of 20 dancers in each crew of the age categories 8-11years, 12-15 years and the adults 18 years and over,” said Mario Gomes.
