Spring social on the dance floor

Spring Pros Dance Academy hosts Spring social.

Jive Pros Dance Academy hosted a spring social at the Westways Shopping Centre this past weekend.

The monthly community event teaches ballroom and Latin, hip hop, ballet and many more dance genres to novices who are keen to learn.

Owner Mandy Hufkie said their instructors are experienced professionals who go out and learn the various dance genres then return to teach the community.

Along with her partner Happy Seihlamo, the monthly social event is hosted to create awareness of the academy.

“This event is free of charge and we want people to come and join us. There are many benefits of dancing because we most of us work in stressful environments and dancing uplifts the spirit and builds stamina. This is a place where those who don’t dance can come and have fun while learning,” said Mandy.

Those who attended the social event could be found in the middle of the dance floor with smiles on their faces while showing off the dance moves they had just learned.
