CPF Sector 3 hosts community day

Crimefighters invite residents to spend a day with them.

Who ever thought of hosting a large community-focused fun day on a circle?

The CPF Sector 3 and Horison Blockwatch welcomed residents to Swan Circle last week Saturday to get to know their crime fighters and neighbours and make new friends. They were joined by various other exhibitions and representatives from security companies, including that of Dunmar and Bhekani Abantu. ER 24 had their own display. The Roodepoort Police were also present on the day.

The CPF Task Team looked dashing in matching black shirts and seem to have led the party. Various braais were set up which families and representatives gathered around, chatting the sunny afternoon away.

According to CPF member Bobby Boyd, the idea of the day was to get the community united against crime, to make people aware of the resources available to them and to make the connection between resident and crimefighter a personal one.

Horison Blockwatch is having a walk against crime this coming Saturday (5 September), spokesperson Michelle Basson said. They will be getting together on the corner of Mouton and Judd Streets. For more information contact Michelle Basson on 072 120 0863 or via email at info@horisonblockwatch.co.za
