In honour of all cancer patients

Happy Daffodil Day!

There are many people who have been affected by Cancer and today we show support to cancer patients by celebrating World Daffodil Day.

The day was introduced in New Zealand in 1990 by the Cancer Society to raise funds for the treatment of needy cancer patients.

The word Daffodil was chosen because, according to an online article, a daffodil is the first flower that symbolises life and hope.

If you know someone who has cancer, spend the day with them and remind them that there is still hope.

You can also celebrate this day by becoming a volunteer or donating to your local CANSA Branch.
