Bomb scare at local mall forces an evacuation

"Emergency Services and West Rand Public Safety were called to assist in evacuating both the scenes," the Krugersdorp News reported.

The Krugersdorp News reported a bomb threat at the Absa Bank in Key West Mall lead to consumers evacuating the building this afternoon.

The article by the News states an anonymous caller allegedly informed the switchboard operator, which serves both the Key West and CBD branch, of a possible bomb threat.

The News reported both Absa branches were searched by the police’s K9 unit along with the bomb squad.
