‘Bed and Breakfast’ of a different kind for criminals

The suspects, aged between 25 and 28 have been detained for possession of a suspected stolen motor vehicle.

A little ‘oops’ led to the arrest of criminals with multiple previous offences against them.

On Tuesday 18 August at about 7.15am the Florida Police attended to a complaint of malicious damage to property at a bed and breakfast facility in Schoeman Street where a vehicle, with three occupants, bumped the main gate of the said establishment.The driver promised to return in order to fix the gate. The Police then decided to make a vehicle enquiry and it transpired that it was a stolen vehicle and a that a case was opened at Roodepoort Police Station earlier the month.

Two of the suspects have previous offences ranging from possession of stolen goods, dealing in drugs, drug trafficking, shoplifting, housebreaking and theft.
