Be selfless

Remembering all who lost their lives fighting a good cause.

If you know someone who has lost their lives while protecting someone else, take time out to honour them for World Humanitarian Day.

World Humanitarian Day was introduced in 2008 by the United Nations General Assembly to recognise these selfless individuals.

It is also an opportunity to celebrate humanitarian work around the world.

Today special recognition is given to all humanitarian personnel who have worked hard to promote the humanitarian cause.

It also commemorates those of them who have lost their lives while promoting the cause.

If you know someone who lost their life while doing the same, share your stories of them with us and have a minute of silence in remembrance of them.
