Roodepoort SPCA hosts 60s musical

Audience will be taken back in time by live performances which will feature songs of popular musicians.

The Roodepoort Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) will host a 1960s musical production at the Barnyard at Cresta Shopping Centre on 20 August.

The show, “Those Were The Days” will feature local musicians who will take the audience back in time by performing songs from popular musicians like Tina Turner, The BeeGees and many others.

“It is going to be so much fun and we hope to receive as much support from the public as possible,” said coordinator of the event, Nicole Manners.

All money accumulated for the event will go towards the Roodepoort SPCA to better the facilities for the pets.

Kirsten Claire who is a local musician will be performing her debut single “Flying Blind” at the event and according to Nicole, Kirsten is an amazing musician with a good heart. Nicole also said Kirsten is a big Roodepoort SPCA supporter.

You will be allowed to bring your own food but drinks must be bought at the Barnyard Theatre. Doors to the Theatre will open at 6.30pm and the show starts at 8pm.
