Fuel shortages a concern

Media reports have surfaced stating that there may be a week-long fuel shortage in certain areas. Apparently a Durban refinery has been shut down due to planned maintenance. Sapref refinery has been faced with unforeseen disruptions which may be the cause to the shortage.

The Automobile Association’s (AA) Layton Beard commented, “We will be able to shed some light on this issue as soon as we have clarity from the Fuel Retailers Association.”

Questions were sent to the Fuel Retailers Association and comment is awaited.
