Community to be taught about crime prevention at fun day

The fun day will include interaction with officers and Community Policing Forum (CPF) patrollers.

Meet your local patrollers, policemen and everyone involved in the security system on Saturday 29 August at the Community Crime Prevention Fun Day.

Live entertainment from local musicians, a farmers market, jumping castles for children and a police exhibition will take place on the day.

“Police officers will display fake drugs to people and teach the children in the community why drugs are bad for them,” said Candice Rëbeïre, organiser of the event.

Candice said it is a day people get to meet and interact with officers in the area and socialise with other people in the community as well.

A stall costs R150 and can be booked through Candice. For more information, call her on 079-287-2038.
