Princess residents to be warm this winter

Good news for the residents.

Princess Informal Settlements — Group 5 Motlekar donated blankets to families living in Princess Informal Settlements this afternoon.

With the help of Princess Clinic, families in need were chosen in the community to be assisted.

“Every year, our staff members collect money and we buy blankets. Last year we managed to buy 13 000 blankets to donate throughout the province, this year we had more than 14 000 blankets and we distributed them,” said Group 5 Motlekar’s Site MAgent Johan Human.

The event was attended by residents from the informal settlement and Gauteng Health Department with Witpoortjie Spar providing refreshments.

“The purpose of today is to reach out to the community. We have ward based outreach teams (WBOT) who go out to the informal settlement and assist the elderly to register and visit the clinic regularly,” said the clinic’s Sister Phuti Ramushu.
