Husky on the loose

Previous owner fears the husky, Max, might be found in a terrible state.

Max, a five-year-old husky has been missing and was last seen with his companion, Mia, at the City Power premises in Roodepoort.

However, Mia was found in Roodepoort by The Nordic Rescue SA on Tuesday without Max.

He is not sterilised and has a microchip but people are advised not to contact the relevant persons on the microchip because the details are outdated.

Elke Du Bruyn from the Nordic Rescue SA said Max was not in their care when he disappeared but in the care of his owners which is why she is unsure how long Max has been missing.

“When Mia was found, she was in a terrible state as her teeth were brown and most of the hair on her body was shaved,” said Elke.

Elke said although she is worried Max might be in the same state, she wants to remain positive and hope for the best.

If you have seen Max, call Elke on 082 927 4222.
