Update: Shot pensioner operated for second time

His wife who was severely assaulted was treated at Flora Clinic but released the same day.

According to unconfirmed reports, the 76-year-old pensioner from Horison, Loekie Trichardt that was shot last Tuesday during a house robbery, underwent a second operation on Thursday.

During the shooting in which he shot one of the suspects dead, the bullet allegedly went through his oesophagus and grazed his liver. He was hospitalised at Netcare Millpark Hospital.
