Business owners to beware of new trend

New trend to rob businesses.

Florida Sector Two Community Policing Forum (CPF) has released a warning to all business owners on behalf of Apcan Security of a new criminal trend on the rise.

Criminals are using on-site security guards tagging of way points when they patrol the property’s perimeter to their own advantage. The tagging system is to monitor whether guards do their patrols at designated times. In order to not raise alarm at control rooms when they burglarise a business, the criminals overpower the guard and then accompany him on his patrol. This leads to to the control room not getting suspicious. While they do this the criminals’ colleagues commit the crime.

Dowry and Dunmar representatives both confirmed this could take place but said the carrying of a panic button by the guards could prevent it.
