Turtle Den treats seniors in honour of Madiba
Afterwards some of the seniors received hugs from excited toddlers.
Turtle Den, that has two branches in the area, took the children to Witpoortjie Senior Park this Friday (24 July) to treat them in honour of Mandela Day.
The official Mandela Day was on 18 July which fell within the crêche’s school holidays, so they spent their 67 minutes a week later treating senior to singing, poetry recitals and home-made scones and cookies.
The children entertained the elderly with the national anthem, their school song and gospel songs.
