Honeydew Glover Paddocks Equestrian Park students were awarded greatly at the prize-giving for the Gauteng West Interschools Equestrian League on 16 July.
Christiaan Prinsloo from Maragon Primary School and Chad Heroldt, from Orion College both achieved great results in the league.
Heroldt and his horse, Dark Star, won the gold medal for the top overall rider in the newcomers’ challenge (high school division) in the Gauteng West Interschools Equestrian League.
He also won a trophy for the highest points in the single rider schools’ division, as well as a bronze medal for show jumping.
Talented Prinsloo won the gold medal (for the overall top rider) in the newcomers’ challenge, primary school division.
With his horse, Bolt, he will be representing the Gauteng West team at the Regional Competition, taking place on 8–9 August.
