Discovery’s man of the moment Sasha

Getting to know Mr Junior South Africa Sasha Robertson

It was in 2010 when a woman from Figures Models approached Sasha Robertson while he was doing grocery shopping and asked him if he would be interested in modeling.

“At first I was a bit hesitant about modeling but once I participated, I found it was something I enjoyed and that’s where things started,” said Sasha.

Last year was a successful year for the former Hoërskool Florida pupil, winning numerous competitions including Mr Beach Body, Mr CANSA and King of South Africa.

He was also named the Face of Clearwater Mall.

“After entering these competitions and doing well, I felt that it was time to take a further step in modeling and enter the Mr Junior South Africa,” he said.

In May this year, Sasha was crowned Mr Junior South Africa.

“It was fun to be part of the competition, I met new people and gained plenty of experience but it was physically and emotionally exhausting,” he said.

Sasha is saving up money to travel to America next year and participate in the International Talent Showcase.

This is where aspiring models, actors, singers, and dancers are connected with the world’s leading agents, managers, and casting directors.

“This is an opportunity for my modeling to progress into acting which is my next goal,” he said.

The adrenaline junky, who loves bungee jumping wants to make a name for himself.

“There is nobody I can think of who I look up to because I want people to look up to me,” he said.

Sasha is now currently active with different charities such as Africa Food For Thought and starting next week, he will be volunteering at the Honeydew Lion Park.

“I will help feed the animals and take visitors on a tour of the park. It will be an exciting challenge,” he said.
